I promised an update didn't I? Well, the sunlight inside the house was dreadful due to the cloudiness, but that doesn't mean I can't shoot outside! When my neighbors pitbulls aren't out there. It was a bit rainy this morning and as the day went on it warmed up so luckily I caught the good part of the day. I wanted to wear something stylish since I finally could again, and something comfortable for all my running around before work. It's so weird days I wear no or little vintage. The one vintage thing I did wear today was my leather bomber jacket:
I kept hearing the voice of that guy from Ghost World, "look who's talking, little miss badass." I also struck some sort of James Dean post when I was shooting but edited it out. I also wore a vintage scarf with it but didn't shoot it since I didn't decide to wear it until after I shot these.
This is my gold swan necklace, a souvenir from Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany. It's one of, if not my absolute, favourite place on earth! I have another necklace I got the same day, in a different city, with Ludwig II's picture on one side and the castle on the other, inset in a heart. Normally I wear more statement jewelry than these simple pieces, but I made an exception because they are sentimental with good memories of the place and the trip.
Well, off I go, I must round up some of my photography. The shop I work at is going to start selling some of my prints, as well as a lace sculpture in a shadow box I am going to make. I'm really excited!

Oh yes! That swan necklace...love it.
So cute--I have those tights! (Have I already told you that?) I love the swan necklace.
Ooooh, my goodness, I love your Neuschwanstein necklaces! A few years ago I found a 1970s book about Prince Ludwig II in a used book store, and it's filled with gorgeous photos of his different castles. I've always wanted to go! Did you get to see his crazy little man-made, light-up grotto? Dame Darcy drew this picture of it which she totally lifted from the book I just described (minus the mermaids and sailors): http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=37411196
cool shoes, slu. are they made well? i've been looking for some jazz flats that won't disintegrate upon impact with the mean streets of Oakland.
Alicia: No I have not! It was the standard tour, saw the Jesus sitting on a rainbow in the throne room, etc. Also, I just remembered I walked all the way up the mountain in the rain.
Gina: They feel a little flimsy cos they are thin leather, but they have held up pretty well so far. They're surprisingly waterproof, too. I did once step on a screw that went right through the sole but they must be made of self-healing mats cos I've never had anything else come through. If you get shoes at Aldo do what I did- sign up for the emails and you get a 10% off coupon.
So cute! Love your tights and the necklace!
